After a short time with the Zune, I wanted to post my initial impression before they get out of my head. (I have alot of things I am looking at this week)
UPDATE : I want to know who selected the videos and audio for the preloading of these. Never heard of any of them and not into much of it.
What is left?
What is left to say? Time will tell on its use. So far, I am ready to jump on board, but it still depends on some variables. I need to see how this works with the Zune Marketplace and other services, as well as how it does with my Original MP3 library (most of which came from actual CDs) Battery life needs tested. Does it slow down considerably when packed full of media?
Either way, I give the Zune an initial C+ on efforts of its own merit. I will bump that to B- since it?s not an iPod ![]()

the first zune is a great product glad you like, and got white to, the only bad thing about it is i carried it in my pocket with pencils and got it all colered and stuff
Wow, B- huh? Yikes. I was thinking about getting the 1st gen because its so unexpensive but now Im thinking 2nd gen just because of the design. At first I was thinking ‘I dont care what it looks like I just want storage’ but now upon seeing this I truly see some differences between 1st and 2nd generation.
P.s For some strange reason I also look at the packaging. I feel it should be as sleek as the device.
I never looked at much of the documentation on the original Zune. I dont even know where most of that stuff is now.
I actually installed the zune software several days before the Zune came out. So i never used the install CD.
I actually gave my Zune bag away, because I never found a use for it. I rather keep it in a case anyway.
