Zune Car Pack 2

Update : Zune v2 Car Kit - Mini Review
Very Nice. I purchased one of these today and I am very impressed. Kind of expensive at $80, but worth it if you can afford it.
No need for batteries. Just plug into the DC Outlet in your car, plug in the Zune and dial up the frequency you want and you are rocking. I have a problem finding a good clean frequency to use here but this transmitter is more powerful that the Belkin I used to use and I only hear static when there is a pause in the audio. It's not a loud static and is not even noticable when the music is playing. I really need to sit down and test all frequencies to find the clearest for me in my area.
The pack comes with a non slip pad to place on your dash too. The display for frequency selection is a nice bright digital read out.
Features:
- Auto-tuning. The Zune FM Transmitter automatically selects an optimal station for broadcast.
- Charge and play. Charge your Zune while you listen to music.
- Convenient storage. A magnetic storage clip allows you to keep wires out of your way. A dashboard grip pad provides a great place to rest your device in the car.
- Two FM presets. For longer commutes, it often takes more than one station to stay tuned in if you drive between different regions with different stations. The Zune FM Transmitter has two presets so you can easily swap back and forth between your most commonly used broadcast stations.
- Pack includes: Zune FM Transmitter/Charger and Zune Dashboard Grip Pad.

The new zune tuner looks like it has some of the features, except i liked the mobile one that runs off the zunes batteries more
The Car Pack seems nice but I never had much use for it. Im not in the car enough to use it. But its seems nice.
Which car pack is better? The Original or this one? This one looks cooler but the original is alot cheaper. which one is better?
I’ve seen a video review where the reviewer show that the new one is better. With the old one, you have to find a sweet spot to place your Zune in order for the radio to work its best. This new one seemed to be more powerful. But at $80, I’d rather invest in a car radio with a MP3 jack.
You did get one of these thank god. I was really hoping someone would do a little review about it. Cause my cousin has an Ipod80gb and when he has his Fm transmitter it sounds so bad. I can hear this fuzzy noise in the background and it sounds worse then the radio. I am glad to hear the you dont get a bad static sound with this device. I also like the dash grip pad cause I love them things. Another friend has one of the dashboard grips and he puts his cell on it and it stays put. even around turns.

Looks like something worth getting. How’s the auto-tuning work? Is it better to find a station yourself?
Wish they build the FM transmitter into the player itself that way we won’t have to worry about wires and bulky equipment. Just like iPhone where you have Airplane mode, you can switch your zune to Vehicle mode and listen to your music through your car speakers. Oh! well it’s time to wake up.
zune gen 3 might have the FM transmitter built in.
Hmm, sounds nice, but not for the money. Im not much to use it in the car…..I love music while making working out- makes it less excruciating. But yeah. Im all for the extras, just gives other devices a run for their money.
that sure is a good looking set up. I like the preset options a lot. That is a great for long distance commuters
