I love the Zune. I want to see Zune do well. I don't like Zune Marketing. So far all the Zune ads i've seen are so weird that they leave "me" wondering, "What the ---- are they trying to say?"... This one below is most likely the most strait forward ad yet.

I think it’s cool they have weird ads. It matches with Zune-arts. If anything, I think the ads should be weirder.
But I also think they need to balance the weird with the practical and have non-weird commercials in addition to the weird ones that show exactly what a Zune is.
It is weird. Only zune commercial that i’ve seen so far.
it starts out ok. I thought it was promoting the social aspect but then the fence cuts him to pieces.
I think its a good ad..the only problem is that people may not acutually learn what the zune is used for with this ad…
It is good to have weird ad that showcase the social aspect of the zune, but not so early in the cycle. A lot of people don’t know about the zune yet. They need to have ads that educate people on what the zune is and how it is better than every other player out there. Once they get to that level they can experiment.
I like some of the ads where they show how music can seamlessly go from one device to other (zune to zune / zune to home theater) but not everyone will understand what Microsoft is trying to show especially since they don’t know the zune / zune features.
i seen this on tv. it givces u something to remember!
Microsoft has a big problem with their ads. They may be cool and trendy, but nobody knows or remembers what they are promoting. See an Apple ad - particularly an iPod/iTunes ad - you know what it is, you know that it’s an Apple ad. I know that a lot of people who saw the "Wow" Vista ads had no idea what was being promoted, and if you showed them 15 second snippets of the ad later on they’d never remember that it was a Vista ad. The same goes for this.
They really have to let people know what a Zune is before they can go all subtle and trendy on people.
