This is a continuation of the info I shared the other day, this time I brought my camera into the car to show my setup.
Very Nice. I purchased one of these today and I am very impressed. Kind of expensive at $80, but worth it if you can afford it.

The above photo shows my Zune 80 in an after market adjustable cradle. This is a great cradle from Akron. I have had it for years through many phones and such.

I use the DC Outlet by my stick shift for other uses, so I put the plugin in my center console. As you can see the pretty Zune Logo lights up. No need for batteries. Just plug into the DC Outlet in your car, plug in the Zune and dial up the frequency you want and you are rocking.

The pack comes with a non slip pad to place on your dash too.

The display for frequency selection is a nice bright digital read out. Just clicking the number buttons you can swap from one frequency to another fast.

Check out the Station. Got Zune?
I have a problem finding a good clean frequency to use here but this transmitter is more powerful that the Belkin I used to use and I only hear static when there is a pause in the audio. It’s not a loud static and is not even noticable when the music is playing. I really need to sit down and test all frequencies to find the clearest for me in my area.
Verdict - Expensive, but well worth it. The sound comes through real nice and my subs kick just fine with the signal.

A couple of years ago I would have jumped at something like this. My commute was 54 miles each way, but now I only live 7 miles from work, so it just wouldn’t get much use.
how come you have a zune 80? you said you would wait until december (for a zune 80 original). you couldn’t risist, could you?
I like your setup. That crade is pretty cool. I dont have much use for the auto kit but I am glad that it works well for others.
I don’t know. I still think $80 is way too much for this kind of product. I’d rather invest that money in purchasing a new car radio with a mp3 jack, so I would be ensured to get clear reception.

wow, what is the clarity because i have had some really bad transmiters
i Heard it is good clarity. Is the pink zune resting on a zune mouse bad in some pics?
Thats a sweet Setup. Again I am SO glad to hear the they sounds is really nice and you can only hear a static when there isnt any music playing. I really like that cradle also I will have to look that thing up and see how much one of them cost cause that is just plain out nice sine its adjustable and you can put almost anything in it. I was wondering how much you paid for it when you got it. I really think that the price is worth it. The thing look so nice even better in the car. I will be buying this thing once I get a Zune. I like it a lot I will also be looking into that cradle if its not to much. What do you use the grip pad for if you have that cradle?

I hate to double post but I have ben trying to find that Akron Cradle but I have had no luck at all. You think you can email me the link you bought it from or a site that I can get the same model you have cause I can’t find anything.
Thanks a lot and Sorry for the double posting.

I am going to give my car pack a try today…going Christmas shopping
I need a cradle….. for my AT&T Tilt and my Zune!
wow that is a cool set up like a posted. But those pictures really show how clean, colorful, and crisp the zune screen is. Does anyone know if its the same screen and its just the glass doing the trick
Really good, but I just wont be purchasing mine anytime soon. It seems as though you have to limit it somewhere- You have all of the accessories and the podcasts….Music, ect.
It DOES look nice though doesnt it? And some shameless Zune promoting when you have passengers.

Thanks a lot, Smiley2billion. I have been trying to find the website but gave up after about 20 min. It saves me tons of time and I have no idea why I didn’t just try typing in arkon dot com.
Thanks again,
Trevor
I’m definitely going to have to pick one of these up. Nice to see that big 311 logo up there. T & P Combo is a rocking song.
