Have you actually seen a Zune Commercial on TV?

To be 100% honest, I had not seen a single Zune Commercial on TV until last night. I will admit that I don't watch much TV at all, but I do watch some. I normally watch a couple 1 hour dramas like Cold Case, the 4400, and Law and Order. I don't watch MTV, VH1, or any of that type programming, which if I was marketing the Zune would be the place I would advertise most.

Last night during the Alabama/Colorado Football game, I caught my 1st on TV Zune commercial. Have you ever seen one on TV?

If you’ve been watching any football over the past few weeks, Zune ads are all over the place. They have been placing them in all of the college bowl games (some more than others), and I’ve seen some during pro games as well. And it isn’t just one commercial seen over and over. I’ve seen at least 3 different commercials.

Chris, let’s be honest.ï¿½ Those shows you mention don’t represent the target demographic Microsoft is targeting. Cold Case, 4400, Law and Order are popular shows, but for the over 30 crowd.ï¿½ Now - watch Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network (targetting High School/College age), and you’ll see ATLEAST 2 a night.ï¿½ I was watching the Futurama marathon this weekend and I couldn’t believe how many times I saw the Zune commercials (in tons of different variations too).ï¿½ Check out VH1 and MTV too - ads up the whazoo…

Another media blitz I’m seeing is in magazines. ESPN, Rollingstones, and many more have an ad in them for the past 3-4 issues if not more. It’s safe to say, Microsoft is playing Apple’s marketing game, and playing it well.

I know I have seen a couple commericials, but its been about 2 weeks since I saw them. I can’t remember what they were shown during, but it might have been during football. I do watch a lot of sports.

Don’t remember exactly what I was watching. I think it was football and then also have seen a few on VH1 and I think G4.

A few weeks ago I saw the one with the guy who dives into his Zune. And just this morning on ESPN I saw a brand new (to me) Zune ad. It featured the green flash player and had a series of "Zune is…" phrases at the bottom of the screen, while a video played on the device. Then it rotates upward and the ad ends. Should be on YouTube within the next week or so, it’s actually kinda cool.

Tonight, watching multiple showings of "Paranormal State" on A&E. They were actually sponsored by Zune. And none of the Zune ads ever mentioned Microsoft.

I remember seeing it on a projector at a local sportsbar, so probably during some sporting event. It was way back in mid-November.

Ok I’m watching The Daily Show With Jon Stewart, I just saw a Zune commercial featuring a flash Zune, which showcased the Zune’s actual functions “Zune is Video” and such….The interesting thing is, the Zune was yellow….

OK, thought my wife was crazy when she told me that. I walk out of the room for a few minutes and miss a Zune commercial. She said the commercial was really cool!

I’ve never seen a Zune commercial on tv neither in Greece nor in Italy,where i spend most of my time.Never seen an ad in the states as well,but maybe that’s just cause i don’t have much time to watch tv when i’m in the states

What’s a fact though is that MS should have pushed more and more ads both on tv/radio as on newspapers and magazines as well.Zune’s promotion seems as if it never existed [at least from what i know of].MS should put more work on that cause they’re digging their own hole.Zune is a freaking wonderfull player so PROMOTE the damn thing for the love of god.I mean come on.I’ve seen ipod shuffle ads on my freaking tv….ipod shuffle for god’s name

Neither have I. TV would be the first place I would go to promote something if I could afford it. What a simple way to reach a mass audience. How about a Zune ad during the Superbowl this year? That’s a hell of way to reach an audience. Especially if they can come up with something clever, that people will be discussing the day after when everyone gives their opinions on the best commercials. They review those commercials on tv and in newspapers for heavens sake.

ok let me just say personally i absolutely hate the zune ads. i have seen a couple on tv and some online. 1 involves 3 giant pink bunnies and a girl, and another a giant bird gets set on fire wtf?

its weird they dont have many zune ads on youtube. They have all the ads on zune.net though.
