Wait, That's normal retail price.
OfficeMax, BuyDig, and other sellers are offering Microsoft's MP3 player at around a 30 percent discount this week. It's the size of a cigarette lighter, it's easy to use, and it's particularly well-priced at the moment. The bottom line on this item, from CNET Reviews' analysis: "While the full-size Zune is a better value, the solid-state flash memory used in the 4GB and 8GB versions make them better suited for physically active (or clumsy) users."

yeah chriss i saw this same price at a walmart that said it was 25 % off and it was 150$ for a 4 gig?? what are they thinking
Well, if you are looking for another great deal, I saw Best Buy advertise the Zune80 for….get ready….$249.98. That’s right, 1 penny off the normal price.
I hate when stores try to trick you into thinking you are getting a bargin.
I just ordered my zune 80 original yesterday and it cost me $267 ($250 + tax). I was under the impression that the entire package costs $250 (including tax). It made me have second thoughts of purchasing a zune original and so I checked out the prices on bestbuy. I eventually ended up buying from zuneOriginals anyway
Turns out that they give a discount only to make the final prices a round figure of $250 (including tax). For e.g. BestBuy has Zune80 for $237 and the final price after tax ($14) is $251
Even better deal here
Yeah, I hate it when stores do that. Take the "sale" price a few cents lower just to make it the actual price with the tax.
@rock4christ
That’s not a bad deal seeing that they also give you a free $15 Zune marketplace card.
the circuit city website quotes incorrect price for the zune. It says the price "was" $299 and after "Instant $50 savings" the price is now $249…
How ridiculous is that
Hey Chris, Just wanted to point to an offtopic discussion (hope you don’t mind).
Google adsense is displaying iPod advertisements on this blog (which feels ironic). I’m not sure if you can add filters to get ads targetted only towards zune only. Either way just felt that I should tell you this
yea, I guess I need to find a way to filter those.
@ Vishwas: I saw that the other day and thought that was odd. Didn’t know there could be such a filter.
There should be one. I’ve got no clue on where to find it but certainly google should be offering such a kind of filter. Actually I haven’t used adsense in quite a while and need to check if there is such a system or not
In other news - My Zune Original is on its way. The order processing was very fast. Took only 14 hrs to process and ship my order
