Leave feedback here and/or head over to Engadget... Engadget is asking it's readers how they would change the Flash Zunes...
By now, you've had more than ample time to give the flash-based Zune of your choice some serious play, and we're sure you've logged a couple of complaints in your mind, so here's your chance to get it all out in the open. If given the keys to the Zune 4 / 8 design lab, what changes would you implement? Add in a few more pixels? How about a few more gigabytes? Melt the whole thing down and shape it like a discus? Or is your heart still longing for the oh-so-elusive Zune phone? Whatever your wish may be, feel free to let the whole world know in comments below -- you never know who'll tune in.
Me personally, I would ask for a Blue one (kind of like the side column directly to the right of this text). That's about it really. The Flash Zunes are pretty nice already.

the zune pad looks huge. it is 80% of the non screen half.
now, on the 80, all i want is 640×480 and it will be the perfect device.
I’d like video out and more color options. Beyond that, I’d want to play with one which isn’t tied down to a display to say for sure beyond that.
I’d want the screen as big as the 3G Nano.
It would be nice to either have a dedicated volume button or some other new way to easily control the volume for when you leave the music menu and are navigating a different menu.
I’d also want a stopwatch/timer feature so I could use it when I workout.
I also find the Zune pad to be too sensitive on the flash Zunes. It is very easy to go past a menu item if using the touch aspect of the pad instead of the manual click. They need to make menu items stick while using the pad. The Nano doesn’t have this problem, but strangely enough the iPod classic does.
The last 2 items can definitely be fixed with a firmware update.
oh, and to have Nike+ support would be great too. Maybe Puma or Adidas could come up with a similar system for the Zune.
On the flash zune, the only real thing I can say, is that I want the screen to be larger, because the Nano beats it out in form factor. The real reason I bought a Zune 80 over an iPod Classic was because of the screen size, and i think if I were in the market for a flash-based player the screen still would make a difference to me.
I can think of 3 things:
1 - Increase the storage to 16GB. If they can make LE for the Zune team, why not just produce them.
2 - Make the screen larger - get rid of the black border around the screen and make it actual screen.
3 - I have to agree with Chris - I want blue!!!
1.) 640×480
2.) divx and Xvid support (like the Xbox)
3.) Deleting files from inside the player itself (I burn through a lot of tech podcasts)
4.) shiny blue color (like the red Zune)
@Antonio
I like #3 the direct delete is an excellent idea.
Looks like people have already covered what I was gonna say:
1) Native DivX/XviD support
2) Bigger, better screen (640×480)
3) Hotter colours - namely Orange, pour moi.
And I totally forgot about in-device deletion - that would be amazin.
Only Zunes I’ve been able to mess with are in stores. So I don’t have any long tirm time with them. I agree with most people. Divx and XviD would be cool, but not a big deal.
Direct delete is #1 then some more colors.
I’m actually surprised that most mp3’s these days don’t have that feature - I remember about three years ago my friend had a 512MB flash player made my MPIO that included that feature.
At the time I didn’t really note its significance, but it sure could come in handy now when I can only squeeze about 300/3000 songs in my player.
I would get rid of the black border that outlines the screen and expand the screen so to make it much bigger. Longer battery life and more memory for songs would help alot too. Making it cheaper than ipod’s 3gen nano would give it a big boost. The software on the computer should be much easier. I like the drag and drop instead of making a list then syncing it once you are done.
