My Idea for Zune or any other Media Player

Media Players are progressing really nice already, but I have some ideas that I would love to see in the future.

Take any Media Player... Add the ability to stream Bluetooth Stereo audio. I know that I loved that ability in the Samsung P2. I think this is an option that alot of folks will enjoy. This isn't the main idea that I am making this post about though.

The big idea, which some may discount as silly, is to add voice recognition software to a Media Player. A lot of phones have voice dialers and Microsoft's Voice Command is an awesome package for Windows Mobile Phones.

Why not add something like Voice Command to a Zune, iPod, Zen, or any other player? Driving down the road you decide you want to jam out to some Prince. Just click a button somewhere on the player and speak. "PLAY Prince Purple Rain" and then the player starts it up.

What do you think? Would you like a feature like that?

That would be a great idea, also transfering data from a bluetooth device would be sweetas well.

WOW! Chris those are some great ideas.Â I like the bluetooth idea.Â No wires woudl be great!Â When I first read you would like voice command on one I wasn’t sure, but when you explain it I changed my mind.Â That would be a great addition.Â That would help out so much when listening in your car.

I think the voice command would be great for driving in the car. I just had a problem with that driving home on Wednesday. Trying to drive and find music could be dangerous, which is why voice dialing was invented. If you’ve seen the commericials for the Ford Sync add-on, which shows the Zune in the commericials, you can do exactly what you are asking for. The only problem is that it is only available via Ford, and you can’t use it outside the car.

I also would like to be able to surf the internet and download music. That would be cool.

I do not like the voice recognition idea, when i’m out and about or in class I don’t want to be like "hey Zune play [insert song name] and then play [insert song name] and after that play [insert song name]" it’d be annoying because I usually want my MP3 player hidden. The only time this would be good would be in a car…and that should be an accessory. Uhm the bluetooth thing is fine I guess.
