They almost stole my phone number. 1-877-GetZune. Too close to GotZune Microsoft. Maybe I should get my team of lawyers to fire off a warning shot or maybe now.
Seriously, I joke, but our good friends over at Apple have shut down one of the better Apple Rumor sites out there...
PRESS RELEASE: Apple and Think Secret have settled their lawsuit, reaching an agreement that results in a positive solution for both sides. As part of the confidential settlement, no sources were revealed and Think Secret will no longer be published. Nick Ciarelli, Think Secret’s publisher, said “I’m pleased to have reached this amicable settlement, and will now be able to move forward with my college studies and broader journalistic pursuits.”
In addition, they are censoring their support forums. Nice Job Apple.
If you really care what I think, head over to my personal blog.

Well, I can’t say that I’m completely surprized. Apple doesn’t seem to like their constituients very much. Shutting down the support forums is extremely weird - just wanted to point that out.
Still, if this becomes a trend, Apple is going to lose more and more customers.
I laughed at your rant on your personal blog, Chris. It was hilarious, and pretty truthful.
Kind of odd that they would go that far though. Makes you wonder.
I think that stinks!!! Why should Apple care when people publish rumors? If they want to keep secrets, they should crackdown on their own people. The info has to come from the inside, right. Plus, I always got the feeling that Apple liked having all those rumors out there. I thought they were happy as long as they were being talked about.
I’m not surprsied Nick settled. Apple has lots of money and lawyers, and would be hard to beat without the right resources.
I had heard about apple shutting down a rumor site on AOTS.
That is just weird. The creator will probably just start another site with the same code. haha
wait a tick. Did he get paid off?
Wow you talk about Censorship. How hippocritical. I make a post on your blog stating that what Think Secret was doing was wrong by leaking new product information and that Apple employees that leaked information to Think Secret were breaking the law and then you remove my post. I would call that censorship too.
Antitrust, you didnt post that comment here, you posted it on my personal blog…

And and FYI to all here, I have only "censored" 1 comment so far. It was a link to a porn site.
