Wow really great deal. Esp when Zune.net offers it for $99. I tried looking for a side by side comparison between the M604 and iM414 models but couldn’t find any… Can you do one for us?
I ordered mine on Woot…
but it’d still be helpful if you can do a review
I’m going to order this for a friend that got a Zune yesterday and maybe one for me and hold it until I get one.
One stupid question I have . . . does this work with Zune 2
I heard that it did not work with the Zune2s, because they changed the dock location.
Can someone confirm that?
Hey guys, just so you know, Zune subscription works on non Zune players. Thats good if you have an old player i guess. Hey Chris, I was wondering if the 208 backgrounds I uploaded will count toward the contest?
hmm just loooked on the Altec Lansing site. Didn’t say anything about it working, but did say it works with other MP3 players.
Still looking to confirm
OK sorry for so many posts. Found a zune forum and they were talking about this item. One poster said this:
“Just pop out the insert and they work fine with the 80 and 4. I have been using mine for weeks with the 80 and 4″
Best I could find.
Well, I decided to call Altec Lansing support, and they said it should work fine with the new and old Zunes.
AH you beat me to it. That was going to be my next thing to do.
I went ahead and ordered the speakers, even though I don’t have a Zune. Although, I hear there’s a contest coming up…;)
Actually if you look up on Zune.net in the accessories section, you will find that this doc is listed as compatible with Zune 80. So shouldn’t be a problem
Nice find Chris!

Cool Zune 80 deal at Amazon
…grr.
Amazon is already offering discounts on Zunes, and they aren’t even available at retail locations in Canada.
There’s no telling when Originals will be available..
Ah well, 40 bucks for that system is a very nice find. Will definitely look into if I end up getting a Zune..
im ordering one and my zune 80 came today!
I rarely miss zune deals, but i missed this.
Nice find Chris.
PS:
Altec offers a free mounting kit and you have to pay $3 for shipping.
Was going to pass this one up until I got to thinking about wireless syncing and the TV out………
