For me either way i think the iPod classic is ugly.

The zune is way cooler looking. the huge screen and the new touch pad. But i’m no style guy.

The iPod has become synonymous with portable music. It was the iPod that really brought it mainstream. Furthermore, most consumers aren’t really up to looking outside that box for something different. The iPod has a good reputation and it runs on it - it’s cool to have an iPod.

I want something that delivers high quality. Even if its a brand I’ve never heard of, if it gets good reviews, and overall positive feedback, that’s the choice for me. I think the ‘cool’ or status thing reminds me more of something middle school kids would worry about, I’m past that.

i like to think of the zune as both because it has the necessary cool features and has a very nice designer name

Personally I prefer substance over style.
I could care less what brand things are, if they work that’s all that matters.

I know a few people that have an ipod just for the fact of saying "I have an iPod" There are some that have one and hardly ever use it!
