From Cesar Menendez at Zune Insider:
2007: Best. Year. Ever. I got married, we celebrated music and community by putting on a few BBQs, the Zune lineup got an update, we added the Zune Social, Zune Originals launched, and a bunch of other cool Zune stuff. And, of course, lots of music. Here are my favorite songs that came out in 2007:
- "Your English is Good" - Tokyo Police Club
- "Sunday Bloody Sunday" - Saul Williams
- "The Underdog" - Spoon
- "No One's Gonna Love You" - Band of Horses
- "Drivin' Me Wild" - Common
- "Lake Michigan" - Rogue Wave
- "You Don't Know Her Name" - Maps
- "D.A.N.C.E." - Justice
- "While We Go Dancin" - While Rabbits
- "Ahora Si" - Spanish Harlem Orchestra
- "23" - Blonde Redhead

I hate to admit that I don’t know any of the songs on Cesar’s list. I am always interested in listening to all kinds of music, but most of the time I just listen to the radio. Some JT, Beyonce, Sarah Mclaughlin, Melissa Ethridge, and my favorite band is the Clarks. They are a band from Pittsburgh, and their music rocks!!!
Frankly, I’ve never heard of any of those songs, though I’m gonna give them a listen after this post. I like most genres of music (save most country and gangster cRAP) so I’m sure it’ll be cool.
Thanks for the list, Cesar.
I’m with guys. Not really heard of any of these songs, but might check them out. Always interested in hearing new stuff. I like just about everything. Just depends on what mood I am in. As long as I have a few of my Aerosmith and punk (true punk) I am good to go.
I’ve never heard of any of those songs. I must be way out of the loop or those valley people have some interesting tastes.
Wait Saul williams’ (he was on Def Poetry jam) album was free (Via Trent Reznor). I downloaded it and didn’t care for it.
check it out if you want:

…I was afraid to comment because I didn’t know any of the above mentioned songs. Looks like I’m not alone.
I’ve recently started obsessing about Relient K.
