More of a Did You Know, but still good stuff either way. This one comes from Mike over at ZuneInfo.com...
The Microsoft Zune allows users to upload thousands of photos. What many new Zune users don't know is that the Zune software automatically adjusts any photos added to the Zune. No matter how large the photo, the Zune software will automatically adjust the size of the image to 320 x 240 pixels and to 20-30k in size. For instance, lets say you take a very large photo that is 8 MB in size. When you add it to your Zune it will automatically be adjusted in size and resolution. There is no need for you to do anything before uploading a picture to your Zune!
I love having more than 6,000 photos on my Zune 80!!!

That’s pretty cool. no more having to go into Photoshop and resize photos . . . well when I get a Zune that is.
Helps to not take up a lot of memory!
Well, that would be logical. Good to hear they have implemented something like that.
If only they had taken advantage of a bigger screen size = higher resolution.
Ah well, the Zunes are only in 2nd gen.
That’s pretty neat!!! I would have never thought about something like that. I makes it much easier to take, say vacation photos with you, to show friends. Happy….:)
That is the very cool thing about the software. All of the automatic conversions which take all the headache out of mp3 players.
Bonus for the Zune again
Not only can you put pictures on the Zune, you can make it your wallpaper. You have no idea how much I like that. Something so simple, but to me, it’s another reason the Zune beats the IPod.
edge0 has it right.Being able to set one of your photos, thus personalizing your player as much as you’d want adds another pro in my zune pro/cons list.I already knew about Zune resizing the photos and it’s a sign of what microsoft is capable for when it comes to software
I must warn you though.Sometimes the photo will come to your zune in extremelly poor quality.Just remove it and resynch it back in the zune.Problem seems to be solved so i come to the conclusion that it’s only a glitch or sm.None of my friends have faced this problem so it may be my computer not being able to handle things properly [ this problem occured on vista.Problem seems to have disappeared on XP pro so far *cross fingers ].Tried everything but never really found an aswer as to what caused the problem.Software updates ftw
yeha but if you want to do a little of zoom the details are not clear enought
