I have been underwhelmed by the lack of ZUNE related news at CES this year for the most part. There have been a couple things that showed up at CES that we probly won't see until Summer 08 though. One of the is the Belkin Podcast Studio.

Hands down, one of the coolest things I’ve seen at CES so far this week is the Belkin Podcast Studio. It’s a handheld unit that you attach your iPod to. Using a pair of swiveling integrated microphones on each side, the device records what they hear in stereo as an uncompressed WAV on to the iPod. You can even control the pitch and volume, as well as the stereo balance.
I agree Matt, one of the coolest things I have seen come out of Vegas this week too. I am glad I passed on it this year.
To bad this thing isn't universal. This would really, REALLY be cool if I could use it.

Engadget also got some Hands-on

Wow, that is pretty cool. Looks like the top of it could be susceptible to some damage though. Nonetheless it is definitely cool. Something I have not seen before. Smart idea.
Another accessory to add to the Ipod list. That’s the only negative thing about the Zune, in my opinion. The amount of accessories are nothing to talk about. But, I expect that to change in due time. Got to get more people interested in the Zune before companies will start producing more accessories.
The funny thing I have noticed is that every person who has seen the new Zune, or has been enlightened as to what its capabilities are, are all surprised and love it. Yet, many of them appear to still go out and get Ipods. I think a lot of them are influenced by the Ipod “craze” surrounding them. They are either a little nervous or frightened to try anything other than the Ipod, because everyone’s got one. It’d be weird if you had anything else. If course, I don’t believe that, but I feel a lot of people do. I think once the Zune can throw a little wrench into that craze or steal from it, we’ll see the gap close dramatically.
Sweet device. That would not only be one more to add in that endless list of ipod accessories, but it will most likely push more people into podcasting.Small, easy to use and to sum it up a decent podcast studio in your pocket for you to carry around everywhere.
I’d really love to see companies making such products to go along with the zune.Anyway,i’m sure that will happen someday in the near future when people might come out of this ipod rave lol
The sad thing is that’s for ipods
@edge0 : you mate said that companies seem to be scared to even try creating anything for any other player other than the ipods, cause everyone seems to have one. That’s my ipression as well.Sure it may sound a bit simple to say that companies are scared, but imo that’s the case.Marketing isn’t this sweet light ball that attracts only customers. It also attracts companies as well.So living in the ipod era doesn’t leave much choice for any accessories company. All that hype does not only influence consumer on what to buy but also companies on what to produce…sad but true
