CES 2008: Zune Coming to Canada Finally…

Now it's about time. Earlier today at CES (which I am not at for the 1st time in while), Microsoft announced that the social will grow closer to the US for now. I am sure that this will lead the way for other launches in 2008.

Zune to Launch in Canada; Zune Social Grows Rapidly

Adding to the entertainment momentum, Bach announced that Zune will be available in Canada in spring 2008, the first time the family of digital music players will be available outside the U.S. Microsoft also announced that since the November launch of Zune Social, more than 1.5 million people have joined the music-focused social network, demonstrating how Zune is tapping into consumers desire to share their musical passions with their broader community.

I really wish they’d release it in Europe soon, I know tons of people from XBOX Live in Europe that want one so bad, they always ask me to show them my 80 in video chat lol.

Hey, You can get Zunes if you live in Europe, you have to purchase them off Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.de or whatever country you live in. You can also get some good deals off ebay.co.uk there are plenty of UK sellers with Zunes shipping to Europe also if you visit Ebay.com theres loads of US sellers shipping worldwide but if you buy off a US seller be prepared to pay alot for shipping. There is a couple of disadvantages having a Zune in europe, I tried to sign up for a Zune Pass subscription and it just pops up saying the Zune service is not available in your region, also you can’t enjoy the social feature becasue you can’t sign up but if you are using the US version of Mozilla firefox you can view the forums.(This is what I heard, i’m unsure if this is true) I would be happy to upload some pictures of my Zune and my friends Zune here in the UK but I am having some issues trying to find out how to upload them onto GotZune, could anyone please help me? Oh and lucky Canadians

Well I went into the Zune Photos section, registered and uploaded away….Of course the images are all out of order now :/ so I guess I wouldn’t be that much help. Zune Originals still don’t ship to Europe right? I think that and the lack of the social aspects are a real drawback for our international friends. Its great to see the demand is rising worldwide

So apparently, if all goes well, Zune will hit Europe in the Spring some time.

Glad to see that Zune is going worldwide. I also read that the demand for the Zune this Christmas was higher than that of the Wii.

Zune is already in Europe guys….well not quite,but anyone who’s really interested in getting one can get it via ebay or amazon with no worries at all.I got mines while visiting my cousin in Atlanta but 2 weeks ago i purchased the 4gig flash for my gf from ebay
Those who really want to get one won’t wait till it hits the european stores,trust me on that hehe.But once it does hit the european market you’ll see the sales going up like crazy.People both in Italy and in Greece are going crazy over those new flash based zunes for the last month.People asking to see mine in starbucks,in the subway…even a cop asked to see it and get to play with it for a bit while i was entering a soccer stadium.And the funny part is that the line behind me got excited with it rather than angry with me holding the line lololol :)

wow its a really big thing over there. I understand why when my friend has one i always ask to see it because i dont even have one. So when they dont have one they want one. BADLY! lol. kinda like the iphone in europe. someone had one and everyone went crazy over it.
