I can't say I don't agree. Just because Apple is doing the iPhone thing doesn't mean for certain that Microsoft will turn the Zune into a phone. I am not saying I wouldn't be interested, just that I don't think it's coming soon...
No Zune phone. Microsoft won't release an iPhone competitor this year--at least not one with hardware designed by Microsoft. The company might release some sort of software update or client application that allows Windows Mobile users to play songs from the Zune Marketplace and transfer them from the Zune PC client software to their phones, but even that probably won't happen until 2009. And it'll sink like a lead balloon against v3 of the iPhone, at which point Microsoft will bend to the inevitable and start building its own phone from scratch.

I’d still love to have a Zune Phone.
But yeah i think it’s a ways off yet.
Isn’t that what, what was it called, "Project Pink and Purple" was for?
I don’t see a zune phone in the near future. I would think MS would rather get a better hold on the MP3 player market before diving into something else. Which they are doing with the Zune. Who knows though.
I agree with kaseyart. I think MS should really focus on making the Zune all it can be. Adding things like a wireless music store and gaming would be awesome.
I don’t see a Zune phone in the near future. At least to me, the whole iPhone hype seems to be quieting down. I’m fine with having a phone and a MP3 player.
My phone plays Mp3s now….Its really not that great a feature in my opinion. The problem with having a phone that is also your primary mp3 player is that you have to depend on one battery. If you use all your battery power listening to songs, and someone calls, well, they’re pretty SOL huh? I’d like to see the Zune player integrated in Windows Mobile devices..
