azaas: First off, in the late part of the video they demonstrate with first gen zunes, so I assume there compatible. And as far as the rest of the facts about the table.. I have no idea.. sry :-( But I guess, as far as connecting wirelessly, I think it'l have to still use USB because it may have the wireless capability, but I don't think many older products do, so it'd have to use USB. But as far as the zune wireless experience is concerned, it will probably be more aimed toward wireless sync and such, but have the ability to still connect physically. But as you said, I believe that was a prototype so much will still change.

Soccerfreak24: I got all of the first gen and both the 4/8 flash of the second gen.Didn't get the 80,due to its HDD nature [as i've already said somewhere else, bad experience with hardware from my ipod classic] but i may be getting the Valentine edition just for the laughs :)
I don't know if the firt gen zunes would be "compatible" with the surface, but i'm sure the second gen flash will be for sure.I'm also concerned about software/hardware issues with the surface and i seem unable to find an aswer.
For example any idea if the thing could be loaded with 3rd party apps?Any idea what os will it be running?Any idea on what hardware it will have?Would we be able to use Virtual Manager with it [Dual boot for mac users].Any idea if it will have software updates capability? Will it connect to other devices wirelessly or will also have the good old usb ports?Maybe Zune's wireless sync is the start to an "all cable free" experience MS tries to push [just a thought].I really haven't done much in order to get an answer, cause i thought this was just a prototype, which wasn't supposed to come out any time soon. But it seems that MS will be launching that someday in the near future [ i mean for home use ].So any answers on those questions will be highly appreciated.

I see an awful lot of exciting possibilities in this sort of technology. It's really great to see companies thinking about connectivity for leisure devices like the Zune or other DMPs the same way they do about more business oriented devices like laptops.

@ soccerfreak24 : yeah i got zunes that i'd test on it.But as xerosis said i don't see this happening anytime soon, cause even if it hits the u.s. market tommorow,it'll prolly take a more than a few months to hit the european market :( But again, even though i got no clue when this will happen, the moment i get it i'll put up an unboxing and review video for all the members of Gotzune.com :)

^ M$ has said they want to put it in Hotels and stuff until the parts become cheaper and the average family can afford one. But yeah, $10k is a lot for a table. :P
