Gina Hughes at Yahoo writes up an article called, "Gadgets Are A Girl's New Best Friend" and talks about Microsoft and Apple's Valentines day offerings...
Playlists have completely replaced the proverbial mixed tape, so it seems Apple and Microsoft decided to help you out this Valentine's Day by releasing special pink and red music players for your lady. Microsoft was the first to announce its special 80GB red Zune that includes your choice of laser-etched artwork on the back. You'll be able to choose between 20 designs, and further personalize the player with special playlists and wallpaper. Apple announced its 8GB pink iPod nano last week, which will no doubt be a big seller even after Valentine's Day.
It's great to see the Zune make it into guides for any holiday, even the Greeting Card Company created holiday, Valentines Day!

Yes, my wife likes my Zune. I am sure she would love a red one. Actually probably any color.

"The French are glad to die for Love…
A kiss on the hand may be quite continental
But [gadgets] are a girl’s best friend"
heh… that would be an interesting song…
The plan is for my roommate and I to personalize red Zune 80s for one another from ZuneOriginals.com as Valentine’s day gifts. I’m kind of excited.
We’re waiting on payment for eBay auctions to fund the purchases, though, and may not make the February 5th order deadline.
i have never seen a girl with a zune either. They all have ipod nanos mostly.
Glad I ordered my girlfriend a Zune then lol.
And I know a few girls with the pink flash Zunes, and a few with 30s.
My red one still hasn’t showed.
test comment.
I guess that gadgets have turned to a girl’s "best friend" nowdays. My gf though seems to like the ring i gave her more than the iphone i got her in our trip to Atlanta [ and the ring doesn't even make any calls LOL eat that Stevie haha ].btw she laughed at that pink nano [not really her colour]
.
Now she’s always talking about how cool my imac looks like and since i’ve become so good in "reading" those signs i can see what she wants as a valentine gift * azaas’ pocket says OUCH!!!! lol ^_^
I think MP3 players at this point really aren’t gender specific (at least as far as I can tell). I mean, yeah, obviously the females will gravitate towards the pink ones (I know one girl with a pink Zune), but I’m also a girl, and I’m quite content with my black 80. The fact that I got to put butterfly etchings on the back is where the female side came out.
I’m a girl, and I love gadgets!!! They can be lots of fun….pratical at times with flair….like a Zune Originals!!!
‘Trendy’ girls all tend to wear tight pants, which are accompanied by tight pockets, allowing no room for the Zune 80. As far as the zune 8 and 4 goes, however, I know of at least 1 girl who owns the 8.
Also, I hope Zune will keep coming up with ideas like this to get more people interested and to increase the social network.
Well yea most girls do wear tight pants. I have to tell you now that i think about i almost NEVER see girls with high capacity music players like zune 80, 30 and the ipod classic. Mostly i see girls with ipod nanos or ipod shuffles. I have only seen 1 girl with a brown zune 30 before and that was on a bus.
