iPods Kill

Actually any music player can if you are stupid and don't look both ways before crossing, but the title was too good to hold off on.

This is a poster for an Australian Public Service campaign to improve awareness of the dangers of pumping tunes into your earhole without hearing what is happening around you.

So true. I’ve seen on many occasions someone listening to their music player or talking on the phone and walking totally clueless. If you’re listening to music or even talking on the phone, you have to be twice as alert as if you weren’t doing either. Then again some drivers need to get off the phone and be more alert as well…

Wow, I have walked across the road many times with my zune playing. I’m sure not going to do this again lol. Does anyone else walk across roads with there music playing?

I think most people walk across the street with their music playing if they are carrying on. You just need to really be aware of what is going on around you. Look twice before walking.

Funny ad!!! I know I’ve been walking and paying half attention while crossing the street. People tend to get in their own little worlds, and I am definitely guilty of that.

I’ve walked across the street with my zune playing, but still look both ways and make sure everything is cool. Now chewing gum and walking . . . that’s another story.Â HAHAHA

I do it all the time… well only when the crosswalk light is green though . I still make it a point to look bothways before crossing. The premium earphones do cut out a lot of background sounds and it may cause some problems at some point of time.

However it is the responsibility of the users to use such products reasonably

I make it a habit of turning down my zune to about 4-5 when I’m out and about downtown Toronto, back on the train or streetcar I up it a bit more, people should realize that when you’re in public with any media player, phone, your safety is your responsibility not other people around you , look b4 you walk, and keep doing it.

Man I knew quake 3 arean would come in handy one day

ha ya funny. i have seen someones ipod nano explode in their pocket while walking across the street. thats pretty funny and messed up. I have also seen someones ipod get hit by lightning and like kills the person. weird.
