   I haven’t received anything AT ALL. No shipping delay, no tracking number, nothing. I didn’t even receive a confirmation until after I called them to confirm my order. OTOH, MacBook Airs have been delivered already…

   Is Microsoft underestimating itself????? Of course everyones gonna want a red Zune!!! :/ On the other hand, the Macbook Airs shipped already because Apple’s mentality isn’t "I wonder if people will want alot of these, its "EVERYONE WANTS SEVEN! THEY’RE MACS! DUH!"

   I didn’t even get charged for my Zune or anything so I called Customer Support and they said I should get mine by the 8th of Feb…so I guess I’ll get it then…but if it isn’t here by v-day I’m going to be so mad.

    I called MS CS yesterday and basically got a canned script saying they didn’t anticipate the demand for the Red Zune 80s. They’re still sticking to the Feb. 14th date, although that would be more than 3 weeks from ordering to delivery - compared to the 5-7 days they claim on the site.

    I did get more information regarding the "compensation" Jason mentioned earlier. CS informed me that although no official announcement has been made, delayed orders will ship with an A/V pack - no mention of whether it’s going to be a V1 or V2 dock, though). In any case, take that with a grain of salt - at this point, I just want to get my Zune!

    I wonder if anyone’s gotten their Red 80, yet.  I ordered mine on the 18th and have pretty much gotten the same thing "it’ll be there by Feb 14th."  Not that that does me any good…this baby’s mine, I’m not sharing it with anyone :D.

    But if it does come with a free AV pack, I’ll be okay with the wait.  I just want them to acknowledge the aggrevation.

    I think what people have said before is right. Microsoft is basing a lot of their decisions on the stocking of the new Zune’s on the poor fairing of the Zune 30. Because of this all of the new Zunes are going to be hard to come by, until MS realizes that sales are going up a lot and that they should stock 3 or 4 times what they were before.

By the way when was the red zune available to order? i think it was a while ago. U would think everyone would have their zunes by now.

    it came out on January 15th, and i have a friend who ordered it on the 17th. He hasn’t got even a confirmation email.

    Has anyone heard any accounts of someone who ordered one actually getting one? I’m starting to think there’s some bigger problem than just being a little short on supply. If I do get it in the next couple weeks I guess an A/V pack is good compensation in the long run, won’t make waiting much easier though.

    If the info i-bystander is correct then I’d get the a/v pack, since my player has been delayed, and no, it doesn’t come with the Zune normally.

    When ordering, it stated you would not be charged until it was shipped.  I was charged immediately and I haven’t received any confirming e-mails.  I called customer service the same day I got the DELAYED e-mail and was "guaranteed???????" I would received it by February 5th.  We will see……

    you guys got it all wrong.
    You do get charged when you place an order. I just asked an executive what do you call umm the high rank person. He said that you get charged when you place an order.

    Heres a little more update.

    If you place a Red zune 80GB for an order, your request will be finished in 3-5 days, (making and designing your special request) [Also 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS].

    At the moment, the zunes have been made that were ordered before the 22nd. I’m sure about that not sure about after..
    It’s just in a delay of shipping.
    If you ordered it the 22nd or before, you should be getting a confirmation email the next 3-5 BUSINESS days.

    but again, this is what they say.

    and how do you make it so that you comment through your registered ID on gotzune?

    Tim: Go to register, but then look down and theres the “log in” option, click that and log in. I’m assuming theres an easier way, but that’s what I use.

    well yea this forum has gone off topic lol. I love using invisible shields i have one on my iphone and i used to have one on my ipod but i took it off. They are really great if you can get out all the air bubbles. I am pretty bad with photo editing so i just dont do it. lol.

    It’s like First class mail USPS.
    i like USPS better.. =P but they didn’t offer it
    3-5 days + 2 -3 days delay..
    so about 7 business days

    Haha, well that sucks man.. But yah, whats even worse is 12 week shipping.. with about a 1/3 chance of shipping. That’s club live for yah.. I worked a good 20-30 hours to get a free zune off club live.. later to figure out that the majority of people do not even recieve them.. and that the shipping is 12 weeks! I have given up most hope.. and if I somehow recieve it then that’l be cool.. but on top of that it’s a 30 gig.. gah. lol.

    Adam/tim: Club live is promoting microsoft search engines.. and by playing games you get tickets. I played there stupid games for bout 20-30 hours as I said.. then You can order a prize…(for 20k tickets ) They don’t actualy spam you, only email I got was confirming my purchase via club live ticktes.. so it’s a lil differnt than those free ipod sites and such.

    I got a tracking number this morning too. Thing is, no one will be around to sign for the package. (Darn MS for taking 3 weeks to deliver!). I believe they will attempt to deliver it 3 times, but what happens after that? Does the package just sit at the facility or does it get shipped back to sender? Any way I can ask them to deliver it somewhere else? Should I contact MS or Fedex? Suggestions welcome.

    I got a tracking number today also, scheduled for delivery the 11th. i-bystander, you should be able to contact Fedex and have them hold it, so you can go pick it up when it’s convenient for you.
