Uh Oh… Red Zune 80 Shortage?
Posted by Chris Leckness on 01/23/08Well. I purchased a Red Zune 80 minutes after I got word of the release and two days later, I ordered another for a friend. The good or bad news is that I only got the following email once...

Due to an unprecedented demand for the new Red Zune 80 GB on Zune Originals, your order may take longer than expected to ship. We expect that your order will ship in the next 7-10 days and arrive before Valentine’s Day.
When your order is on its way, we will send you a shipping confirmation with a link for tracking.
We know you are looking forward to receiving your Red Zune 80 GB and we are doing our best to quickly overcome this delay and get your order to you.
If you have additional questions, please call 1.877.GET.ZUNE. For fastest service, press 5 then press 1 and have your order information ready.

My guess is that it's gonna be my friends that is delays. Even though I feel for him, I hope I am right. hehe...
PS. There is that phone number that I am going to sue for. It's too close to Got Zune.

Well,depends how you wanna look at it,but imo this is good.That shows just how many people ordered it
But again people want it before Valentine’s day so they better keep up with the demand hehe

Oh no not again! well i guess people just love zune 80’s first it was the black one now red.
Wow, great news for zune. I think microsoft should begin anticipating the buyers now, with the zune 80, and the zune 80 red, they obviously didn’t think as many people wanted them as they do, so next time they release a new model I hope they produce more, and faster.
I see this like azaas said. The good and the bad. Good that it shows that a lot of people ordered one and bad that there is a delay. From the look of the email that was sent at least it will still show up before V-Day so that’s a good thing.
And I was just about to ask you if you got your Red Zune80 yet! I ordered one too, but I haven’t received that e-mail - keeping my fingers crossed.
This sucks, oh well at least the numbers are growing. It still sucks having to wait longer for this gem.
I’m ordering my girlfriends red Zune 80 tomorrow…so I don’t mind the delay…the longer it takes to get here the less of a chance that I’ll open it up to take a peek
I ordered mine on Jan. 31st and did not receive that e-mail. It just said that my order should arrive in 5-7 business days and when they send out the product, they will send me a tracking number.
It’s been a week and no tracking number has arrived yet ):
