   A free shipping upgrade would be the best compensation, IMO. Especially since Vanlentine’s Day is just around the corner. They’re sure cutting it close.

   That’s great news… took them long enough. I think their compensation should be something along the lines of x amount of Microsoft points to buy music, or free x month subscription to their music store.

    @ Dcal: It has free shipping already, you only pay for the device and sales tax.

    And I have yet to receive a shipping confirmation about my girlfriend’s Zune.

    I ordered mine on Feb. 1st and I got a shipping confirmation e-mail today (5th.)

    They removed it because they haven’t manufactured enough to meet demand….If they did plan to keep the red after Valentine’s day, they’d have to start production of ALOT before they put it back up

    OMG another stupid move from ms, Why would they remove it? ok i understand that there is not enough but come on the same thing happened with the zune 80.

    There weren’t enough of those either……..You’re upset that they aren’t there but you’d be more upset if they were you ordered one then they said "Sorry we don’t actually have any" The bad move is underestimating their own product…I mean what does that say to consumers and rivals? It says you don’t believe in your own product…I never had trouble finding an XBox or a copy of Vista….Why aren’t they making enough Zunes? My friends want Zunes!

    Shado: Exactly, I think the reason their more timid with the zune 2’s is because they made a lot of zune 1’s, expecting huge sales. They ended up not selling to well, and this is reflected in the zune 2. They expected less sales, but in fact recieved a larger amount. That explains the zune 80’s release day dilemma… But here comes the release of the red zune 80, and they should have expected more sales. As you were sort of saying, it seems as though there not fully commited to zune. I think they will realize they have gained a foothold, and not make this mistake yet again.

    The red was limited edition and they removed the Red at 12:00am on the 5th…they aren’t taking orders because they only say Zunes ordered by the 4th would make it by Valentine’s Day…no reason to offer a SPECIAL VALENTINE’S DAY COLOR when they wouldn’t even be able to get it by Valentine’s Day…it was special edition and now it’s gone…

    Well one has to assume that they released it to test the waters, see how many people would actually invest in a Zune as a gift and if a color choice would make a difference…At least I’d hope thats what they were doing….If it is we should see the relaunch of the red and possibly other colors……when they actually get around to making them

    They(MICROSOFT) said it was a limited edition Valentine’s Day color. So what anyone "thinks" is going to be done is just a rumor, with no creadibility.

    Maybe on the surface, but nobody’s gonna deny that Microsoft likes money, and thats how you make it….tell people something is limited, see how many people line up for it, then make it permanent according to demand. At least thats what I’d do..

    I had my KSC75’s plugged in when I took the photo, not the phones that come with the Zune, don’t really like wearing that style

    I got mine yesterday, also with no compensation. 

    So I called and actually got the very nice lady I spoke with the first time :).  She told me that MS has something in the works but they want to "get thru the bottleneck of orders, first."  No mention on what the compensation will be.

    Has anyone heard anything more about it being an A/V pack?  I know someone had mentioned it earlier but I forgot to ask while on the phone…and I’m too bashful to call again :/.

    AWOC: what I don’t get is.. I tried deleting one of mine, and I pressed delete, then it said "you cannot delete this comment" I tried it on a few others, and I always get that msg.
