Where are the Zune 80 cases?

My Zune 30 has a gorgeous red leather case from Vaja. It is called the Vaja Balance for Zune. I emailed Vaja after I received my Zune 80 GB in November 2007 and was disappointed to find out they would NOT be offering a case for the Zune 80 GB.

Vaja has for the Zune 30 GB the following: i-volution, balance, classic, classic top, and classic top retro. For more information on the Vaja cases for Zune 30 GG visit Vaja Zune 30 GB cases

For the 4 GB and 8 GB, Vaja has the i-volution Grip and Grip with hook. For more information visit Vaja

I was hoping Vaja might change their mind an offer a case (sigh), but it looks like they are focusing on other devices.

So what are you using to protect your Zune 80? I need a case...and there isn't much to choose from!

During travel I use the Zune Originals bow it came in lol..I can’t find a good case to save my life…

Exactly! Where are the cases? I like my Zune 80, but I hate trying to fit it in the iPod or Zen Vision:M case! :( I was hoping that we would see a few sport cases by now, but no luck. I hope someone comes up with a Zune 80 sport case soon.

First, wow. I’d never seen those Vaja cases before and they’re drop dead gorgeous — I love them! It’s a real shame that they don’t have any plans to produce them for the 80 because…

Secondly, I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s concerned with putting their devices in a case. I have friends who feel differently, but if I go and pay so much money for a device, I want something to keep it looking nice and undamaged. Both because I’m a bit of a condition freak and because if I should ever decide to give away or sell said device I’d like it to at least look as fresh as the day I drove it off the lot… so to speak. Without a case I’m a little bit hesitant to let something like that drift around in the bottom of a bag, pocket, or purse.

Yeah I agree with dcalvanseso. But aren’t there cases out already? I know they don’t look nice, but why dont we just use those while we wait for better looking cases to come out? I dont know why but my friend refuses eto buy those cases for a temporary one. Those leather cases look okay, but they don’t really fit my personal style. Someone tell me when they make some good-looking cases.

I am glad to see I am not the only one looking for a case! I have left my Zune 80 at home sometimes and taken the Zune 30 since it has a case…..

I guess ANY case is better than NO case….. It’s just a shame there aren’t more available!!

My zune 80 is naked. a pair of drops and nothing have happened to it. Come on, ppl. this is not an iPoo

I just ordered 2 cases from PDair. They are aluminum, and they do have a nice selection. I would also recommend Zuneone.net for silicon or hard crystal cases. I have been looking and looking for cases, and have been really disappointed with the lack of choices.

Speck told me that their new cases should be out in March, and that release date has already been pushed back a month.

@jonisthemon: The Zune branded case for the Zune 80 isn’t bad looking, and I actually kind of like it, but it does cost $50. I think a lot of us would rather comparison shop and find the one case we want rather than spending $50 as a temporary measure. That $50 could be spent on songs, used to pay your Zune Pass for three months, put away for the next DAP purchase, or spent on something practical like gas, food, or clothes. $50 isn’t insignificant for a lot of us!

I ordered some cheap silicone cases from Zuneone but finally settled down with invisibleshield. It actually protects the zune from scratches while still maintaining the transparency to display my zune original tattoo.

Its a pity though that the invisible shield makes the zune look extremely shiny and kinda ipod like. I hate that.

I have an Incipio leather case for my Zune 80 - works pretty well. I believe buy.com has the Microsoft case for like $25 instead of $50.

I also use an Incipio case for my Zune 80. I bought it as a temporary case to use until something like a Showcase or other similar case comes out the the Zune.

I use an Agent 18 hard plastic case for my iPod and I love it, but I hate the look of the one for the Zune 80.

I hope Microsoft or other people will make a nice case soon because I’m getting my Zune 80 in a few weeks! I’m so excited!

Anyway, I just bought a Kiq crystal case for cheap and now I’m using that….I like that it protects the whole Zune but I have a feeling since I got it for cheap it won’t last long, hehe

Does anyone have the Speck TechStyle Case? I’m just about ready to get one as I think that’s the best-looking one out there right now…
