Well, I very much hope that mac support is on the way. I've heard this assumption cropping up a *lot*, that is, that mac users get ipods just for the logo, and thus would never buy a zune. Well, I'm a mac user. I use mac because i think the operating system is far superior to windows (in fact, I find windows an exercise in frustration). HOWEVER! I do *not* like the ipod. The clickwheel is frustrating and unintuitive for me (although ipod touches are okay - just wish they weren't so damn expensive). So, I went for a zune, and I could not be more satisfied. I have even grown to love the zune software more than iTunes. As I type this, I am running it in VMWare Fusion, and, as my laptop isn't exactly powerful, am suffering a considerable performance drop as a consequence. Zune mac support would make everything perfect for me - eliminating the need to bog down my computer with two operating systems. The other thing I need is, of course, an international launch, as I am in Australia (that should show you how dedicated I am to the Zune - the trouble I go to in order to get 1/10th of the features you Americans get is immense).

If you look closely it seems like its sending a file wirelessly, but could be just a static image being shown (as a photo), which is often the case with things like this (to gain a better photo / video).

I think OSX Support should be the next step for Microsoft's Zune. Even though Apple has a small marketshare in the computer market, a lot of those Mac users have iPods because nothing else works as well on their Macs. Zune sales are slowly creeping up on iPod sales because on Windows the integration with the music library is just as good as the iPod's, and of course the hardware itself is fantastic and easy to use. So if they add OSX support to the Zune I'm sure plenty of Mac users would leave their iPods and give the newcomer a try. Plus it would be awesome to see Zune eat some of iPod's lunch.

Just this catboy's 2 cents.

The guy in the video is using a MacBook Air and it does seem to suggest that he would be syncing via BootCamp or Fusion, but the screenshot shows iTunes so I think it's just marketing glitz and nothing to do with reality.

I think I agree 100% :) It's good to hope for changes that will get the 3% to stop using that as a con though.

Likely the Mac is running Windows via BootCamp so then he can sync with the Zune. With worldwide Mac marketshare at 3%, Microsoft should first focus on making the Zune and Zune software the best it can be before going multi-platform.
