Phil,
As we said, this hack is intended for those users the features didn't work for. I have accessed Zune Social and installed Zune Software from around 3 countries now. My Zune Card and Marketplace work just fine.
If it all works for you, you obviously don't need it. It does however help out those users these features don't work for.

No Phil, if you change them back after that, when you reopen the Zune software again, your settings are lost and your playcount and marketplace will nolonger show.

Trust me, i tested this on 8+ computers with many different regional settings.

Although i understand why users dont want registry edits, and now we are working on a way of getting the software to accept all settings to show the marketplace, not just the US.

Zunesi, what your not realizing though is that you DONT have to keep your regional settings changed, all you have to do is close the marketplace, change your settings to the US, start up the zune software, and then you can change ur settings to wherver you want after that!

Yeah but it changes the location settings while keeping currency settings, keyboard settings and other location defined settings the same so international users aren't forced to use the USA keyboard layout or $ in everything as the default currency without further tweaking.
Thanks for posting it rock4christ,
Awesome name btw

You just had to change in your countrysettings the 'norms and notations' (or something alike, I've a Dutch PC) into 'English (United States)'. Your location into 'United States' and your 'Language for applications who aren't Unicode-compatible' into 'English (United States)'. That would also have worked...

Ive already been able to access the marketplace via changing my regional settings to the US then back to canada after....although my Microsoft points still wouldnt let me purchase anything, does this hack get around that? If so isnt that in violation of microsoft service terms, it has to be......marketplace is blocked in canada, and other regions....
