The folks over at Zunited.net got there hands on some interesting info. It appears as though the zune software contains evidence of a Black-Backed Zune 80, and a black-backed red 4/8. On top of that, the 4/8 seems to have a black touch pad. Could this be a developer exclusive like the citron zune? We can't be sure now, but no matter they are, they look great. Any thoughts?
Yes, you read right, the Zune is coming to Canada! Our lucky neighbors to the north will be getting the Zune 4/8/80 models. The 4 and 8 will be available in red, black, and pink. The 80 gets red and black. Prices range from $140 to $250. Canadians can download the Zune Software from Zune.ca.

We saw it come and go and then come again at Zune Originals. I guess they say the great response on this hot color. Maybe one day they will listen to me and come out with....
I would prefer the color of the blue that is in the left most right sidebar here on on gotzune. The lighter of the two blues.
Some of you may have noticed already, but Red Zune 80s are beginning to make their way into retail stores. After returning to Zune Originals, Red Zune 80 will soon be available for purchase at retail stores.
Gizmodo had their reader meet up last weekend and Microsoft showed them a bit of love in the form of some custom Zunes to give away. They don't look all to exciting, but hey... Free is Free
Thanks Zune Insider...
If you can get through all the ads, Futurelooks has a good review up on the Zune 80.
Microsoft still has some work to do, but they've made huge strides with the Zune 80GB, especially when compared to the brown brick known as the Zune 30GB. For starters, they might want to offer the Zune 80GB in colors other than black (the red was discontinued after Valentines Day 2008).
Pros
* Much improved menu interface
* Zune Pad is a huge leap in the right direction
* Streamlined audio and video podcast support
* Wireless synchronization capability
* Great set of premium earphonesCons
* Still too large for my tastes, Zune 4/8GB might be better
* Muted colors while watching videos, only QVGA resolution
* Crippled Wi-Fi capabilities; wheres web surfing and Internet radio?
* Less than stellar battery life
* No AC/DC power adapter included
Now, I can live with some of the cons. I have no true arguments with them, but what the heck is he smoking? Less than stellar battery life? Huh? No, it falls short to the iPod Classic by a few hours, but 20+ hours on a hard drive based player, especially with the huge screen, *is stellar. Less than stellar... LOL

Huh, what? April Fools Jokes? No. Well, not too sure about one of them.
If you can hop a bus to Tahoe and get their before April 5th, you can ski with Gizmodo readers and have a shot at winning a Custom Gizmodo Zune!
And Brian from the Zune team is coming out with some demo Zunes preloaded with good music to shred to. (I've picked a few tracks, but the Zune team's own music experts are dialing in a playlist, too.) Even better they're giving away a few Zunes with custom drawn Gizmodo logos. Who would have thought this little event would get so much love?
Pretty nice of the Zune Team to sponsor this meetup, eh? Read all about it over at Gizmodo.
What's this crap about Tommy Lee? Is he still alive?
Yep! Dude, I loved him growing up. Ratt, Crue, Maiden... wow... flashbacks. Anyhow, that crazy dude over at IHAVEAZUNE has a pic of Tommy Lee holding what appears to be a Zune. It does look like one, but I can't tell. Let me call Tommy and check.
Cool Huh?
There has been quite the absence of quality Zune 80 cases out there, but the flash Zunes ( Zune 4 and Zune 8 ) have had quite a few releases. Anyhow, I was quite excited to hear that Incipio was finally throwing down some Zune 80 cases. I have 3 Zune 80 and 3 Flash Zune cases to look at and I have recorded a couple videos to show them all to you!
Here are the cases I am taking a look at today:

Microsoft dropped a nice Red Zune 80 for Valentines Day and they sold well. Then they were gone. Just yesterday, I replied to a reader that wanted to buy a red one but couldn't find anywhere to buy. Other than winning one in our contest, I had no suggestions aside from Ebay.
Well, good news freinds and neighbors, the Red Zune has returned to Zune Originals. I just got a note via PM from Cesar letting us know. Yeah!!!

Head over to Zune Originals to Order. Update: Cesar has it online now.
As you all know by now, Zune is going to be making its way to Canada in the near future. However, it was pointed out by Zunited.net that the 4/8 green model appears to be missing. On the "Meet Zune" page of Zune.net/en-CA (which is Zune journey) their is no evidence that the Zune 4/8 green Zune even exists, in the description of the 4/8 model's it states,
Proof that petite can still be powerful. Comes with video playback, a built-in FM tuner, innovative touch controls and wireless sharing capability*. Available in pink, red, and black.

Could it be possible Microsoft is removing it for the Canadian release, or could they have simply not added it in yet? The image above shows the "Meet Zune" page, maybe that gap is left for the green to fill.
Ok, so everyone knows the saga of the Red Valentine's Day Zune. I ordered one the day the announcement hit and a couple days later, I ordered another for a friend. Weeks go by and no Zune. We received notice that the orders were delayed. The rumors started surfacing about Microsoft compensating those that ordered Red Zune 80s.
Becuase the 2nd order I placed had no inscription, it was shipped 1st. I received it 1st. The day before Valentine's Day, I finally got mine.
I didn't see anything free in the box, I never got an email telling me I had something coming, so I assumed I wasn't getting any compensation. I am not much of a complainer, so I moved on.
Well, today I got my bank statement in....
Well, I say something from Zune. I thought it was the charge going through at quick glance. Good thing I did a double take. This $272.49 was listed under Deposits and Credits. WooHoo!
So, I just on the phone and called 877-438-9863 to find out which Zune this charge back was for. It was for mine. I wish that they would refund them both though.
