Thanks to Wetworker, regular reader and the guy behind Zunecards.net, he has formatting this from channel 8 into a YouTube video.

In this video, Cesar Menendez, of Zuneinsider shows off the Zune Social and the applications on FaceBook and MySpace.

Cesar is too funny :)

Zunecards.net - Get Some Themes

One of our regulars here, Wetworker, has started development of Zunecards.net as a resource for themes and other downloads. Head over and check it out. He told me I wouldn't like the music embedded into the flash based site, he was right, but the site is nicely done.

  • Get Exclusive Heroes Content from Zune Marketplace

HeroesSoundtrack I just got word that the Zune Marketplace will be the home of some exclusive Heroes Videos soon!

"Exclusive Heroes Video Podcast Series to Debut on Zune Marketplace

Five Episodes to Feature “Heroes” Footage Set to Music from Original Television Soundtrack

In anticipation of the upcoming release of the “Heroes” soundtrack album from NBC Universal, "Heroes" executive producer and director Allan Arkush has crafted five unique music video podcasts that will be exclusively available for free download on Zune Marketplace.  Each video short features exclusive edits of "Heroes" footage set to select tracks from the album.  Nada Surf's "Weightless" provides the soundtrack to the first video, which debuts February 29 on Zune Marketplace and MSN (http://tv.msn.com).

Four additional music video podcasts will roll out on Zune Marketplace leading up to the album's release on March 18.  The podcasts will feature the exclusive new releases “He's Frank” by Brighton Port Authority featuring Iggy Pop, “Not Now But Soon” by Imogen Heap and “Keeping My Composure” by The Chemical Brothers featuring Spank Rock, as well as “Man In The Long Black Coat” by Bob Dylan. "Heroes" fans can collect all five and easily sync them to their Zune portable media player to watch on the go.

"We are excited to partner with a great talent like Allan Arkush to bring the music of the soundtrack to life through creative edits of "Heroes" footage," said Richard Winn, director of entertainment development for Zune.  “This podcast series is part of our plan to make more original content available via Zune Marketplace.”

Thanks Cesar for the above press release.

A recent survey may hint at Microsoft offering video downloads in the future... Well, duh... why wouldn't they eventually do this? It only makes sense....

  • Microsoft Gets all Goofy for Valentine’s Day

1st it was the cool red Zune for Valentine's day, now it's a pink Zune.net and all the Valentine's day downloads. It's a great idea though, what a great Valentine's day gift a Zune would be, eh?

    CES 2008 - The Zune

This is a repost from Mobilitysite.com by Jack Cook from our CES Coverage for Mobilitysite.

zune1When the first Zune appeared, I was not really too enthused with the design and chose to wait to see what would come in its second iteration.  For me, that was a good decision because the newest version had great appeal to me ...  not only in its design but in its functionality.  So I had to make sure I spent some time at the Microsoft booth to see the Zune exhibit and to see just how badly I wanted to get a second Zune to my first Zune company.

I was convinced .... I'll be getting another!

Having the opportunity to check out all of the Zunes was neat:
